Umag is located in the Istrian peninsula, only 10 kilometers away frim the Slovenian border and is, with cape Savudria, the most western point of Croatia. 23 near villages belong to it and there are thirteen thousand habitants in overall. There are beach Kangera with the clearest sea in Istia, river Dragonja and international airport Sečovlje in Umag's surroundings. Umag is a popular touristic destination because of its' natural scenery and geographical position. Right next the tourism is agriculture. It is developed mostly because of olive oil and wine manufacturing. Agritourism, an uprising part of economy, attracts an increasing number of tourists. Umag is also well-known for ATP Croatia Open, a tennis tournament that is held every year since 1990.
