City of Krk is among the oldest city in the Adriatic. Krk has been inhabited since Roman times and Some believe that Homer knew for Krk. Economically and infrastructure, Krk is the most developed Croatian island city. After Dubrovnik and Ston, city of Krk as the third-largest walls in Croatia. From the mainland side the city is completely surrounded by walls, so there was possible to enter it only through one of four doors. In the 13th century the Frankopan Castle was built and today is used as a place for many different cultural events. Besides Frankopan Castle there is numerous cultural and historical monuments to see which most famous are The Church of St. Quirinus from 12th century and the remnants of the Roman baths from the 1th century.
